Here are some of the most commonly asked questions we have had from customers.
Why would I need a ZIG-ZAG Hoe?
Because it incorporates both the Dutch and draw hoe in a unique way to maximise efficiency and ease of use.
What's different about this hoe?
The Zig Zag Hoe works in both a forward and backward motion rather than cutting in one direction. The double-edged pointed blades cover more surface area with less resistance. It has a wide opening between the head's arms which allows soil to pass through easily.
How do I use it?
Holding the handle with both hands with the zig-zag blade resting flat on the ground, you push and pull it through the top layer of soil to remove weeds and loosen soil.
How long will it last?
At Crazy Horse Tools we believe in quality and that our tools will last a lifetime if cared for. If the shaft does become damaged it can be replaced quite simply at a small cost.
What other Crazy Horse Tools are there?
Currently there are two hoes in our range: the large hoe is perfect for vegetable gardens and for large borders. The small hoe comes with either a short handle for close work in raised flower beds or a long handle to benefit people who have difficulty bending or who need to weed between narrower rows in, for example, a vegetable bed.
Will we see you at any gardening or horticultural related shows?
As our business grows we hope to attend more shows around the country. You can find details of events and shows that we are attending here or by following us on Facebook and Twitter.
Where are they made?
Both the hoe heads and the ash handles are manufactured in the UK.
Are the shafts made from environmentally friendly wood?
Yes all our shafts are made from responsibly sourced ash, and we are FSC® certified (FSC® C007915)
Do you have a brochure?
Yes, indeed. You may download a PDF copy of our brochure here or from the foot of this page.
